3) H.E. Payinda Muhammad Khan Farhad. b. 1887 (s/o Shaista). Acting Gov. of Ghazni 1917, Cdr. Baluchistan border 1919, Governor of Kandahar 1920, Editor 'Aman-i-Afghan' 1921. Musician and painter. m. (first) Afaq Begum, daughter of Amir Muhammad Khan. m. (second) Amina Begum, daughter of 'Ali Ahmad Khan Mehrdil. m. (a) Bibi Dilkha, a consort. He went mad and killed his wife, 1923, having had issue, five sons and three daughters:

i) Muhammad Ashraf Khan Etemadi. m. Zarina Begum (b. at Kabul, 28th March 1959), former wife of ‘Inayatu’llah Jan Enayat-Seraj, and elder daughter of ‘Abdu’l Kabir Khan Seraj, by his wife, Latifa Begum, seventh daughter of H.M. Amir al-Mumenin, Amir ‘Inayatu’llah Shah, Sarkar-i-Wala, King of Afghanistan. He has issue, one son and one daughter:
b) Ruh Afzar Begum (s/o Shahzada). m. Ghulam Muhammad Khan (b. 1914), third son of General H.H. Sardar Muhammad Sulaiman Khan, sometime Governor of Herat and Badakshan, by his wife, Taj Sultana Begum, daughter of Sardar Muhammad Yusuf Khan. a) Ghulam Faruq Khan Etemadi (s/o Gauhar Begum). m. Saleha Begum (b. at Kabul, 1928), Presdt. Women's Welfare Soc., and had issue, one son and one daughter:

e) Toryalai Khan Etemadi (s/o Shah Jahan Begum). m. 1948, Ruqiya Begum (b. April 1918), sixth daughter of H.M. Amiral-Mumenin 'Inayatu'llah Shah, Sarkar-i-Wala, King of Afghanistan, by his wife, Khairiya KhanumEffendi, second daughter of H.E. Sardar-i-Ala Mahmud BegTarzi. He had issue, two sons and two daughters:
i) Hamid Khan Etemadi. b. 1953. m. 1975, Mina Begum, née Maiwand.
ii) Mahmud Khan Etemadi. b. 1956. He had issue, one son:

a) H.E. Nur Ahmad Khan Etemadi. b. at Kandahar, 1921, educ. Istiqlal Sch., Kabul. Sec-Gen. MFA 1962-1964, Ambassador to Pakistan 1964-1965, Minister for Foreign Affairs 1965-1971, Prime Minister 1967-1971, Ambasador to Italy 1971-1973, to the USSR 1973-1976, and again to Pakistan 1976-1978. m. his cousin, Aliya Begum, daughter of Juma Khan, by his second wife, Hazrat Shahbanu Begum, daughter of General Ghulam Husain. He was executed in secret August 1979, having had issue, three sons:
i) Tamim Khan Etemadi. m. Salma Begum, daughter of Sardar 'Abdu'l Ghafur Khan Seraj, by his wife, Siddiqa Begum, fourth daughter of Naib Habibu'llah Beg Tarzi. No issue:

Sirajul-millatwa ud-din,Amiral-Mumenin Habibu'llah Shah, Sarkar-i-Wala, King of Afghanistan, GCB, GCMG, by his Nuristani consort, Bibi Kiwik. He had issue, three sons and four daughters:
a) 'Abdu'l Kadir Khan Etemadi (s/o Asia). He d. young.
