Temporary State Of Communications Emergency---- (
When disaster disrupts normal communications in a particular area, the FCC can declare this type of emergency.
Certain rules may apply for the duration of the emergency.
)
Ten code---- (
Abbreviated method of conversation originated by police.

An inexpensive piece of equipment that can be used in place of a computer in a packet radio station.
)
Test---- (
Emissions containing no information having the designators with N as the third symbol. Test does not include
pulse emissions with no information or modulation unless the pulse emissions are also authorized in the frequency bandTR---- (
Transmit/receive.
)
.
)
Tetrode ---- (
A four-element vacuum tube with a cathode, a control grid, a screen grid, and a plate.
)
The Band is Open---- (
Means there are good conditions for Skip.
)
Thermocouple---- (
A device made up of two different metals joined at two places. If one joint is hot and the other cold
a voltage may be developed, which is a measure of the temperature difference.
)
Thin---- (
A very weak signal.
)
Third-party Communications---- (
Messages passed from one amateur to another on behalf of a third person.
)
Third-party Communications Agreement---- (
An official understanding between the United States and another country that allows amateurs in both
countries to participate in third-party communications.
)
Third-party Participation---- (
The way an unlicensed person can participate in amateur communications. A control
operator must ensure compliance with FCC rules.
)
Ticket---- (
A common name for an Amateur Radio license.
)
Time Constant ---- (
The time required for the voltage in an RC circuit or the current in an RC circuit to rise
from zero to approximately 63.2% of its maximum value or fall from its maximum value 63.2% toward zero.
)
Time Domain---- (
A measurement technique where the results are plotted or shown against a scale of time. Incontrast
to frequency domain, where the results are plotted against a scale of frequency.
)
Time-out---- (
To cause the repeater or a repeater function to turn off because you have transmitted for too long.
)
Timer---- (
A device that measures the length of each transmission and causes the repeater or a repeater function to turn off
after a transmission has exceeded a certain length.
)
TNC---- (
Terminal Node Controller--Modem for data communication (packet-radio); Software or hardware that processes packets;
A device that assembles and disassembles packets (frames); Sometimes called a PAD. or A type of antenna.
)
Tone Pad---- (
An array of 12 or 16 numbered keys that generate the standard telephone dual-tone multifrequency (DTMF) dialing signals.
Resembles a standard telephone keypad.

"The copyright issue is a sticky one for Web site owners and their employees, particularly contractors.
Currently in the United States, there are no laws that specifically address copyright issues in the online world.
However, the U.S. courts have ruled that existing copyright laws governing the print world can be applied to the online world."
If by mistake, I've used someone's copyright material, notify me, and I'll remove it.
