Technical Terms & Abbreviations---
Means practical knowledge on electrical systems including installing, maintaining, operating, or repairing electrical equipment.
Q---- (
The ratio of the reactance to the resistance of a component or circuit. It provides a measure of bandwidth. Lower resistive
losses make for a higher Q, and a narrower bandwidth.

Q---- (
Figure of merit (tuned circuit); Transistor.
)
Q (quality factor)---- (
The ratio of energy stored in a reactive component (capacitor or inductor) to the energy dissipated, equal to the reactance divided by the resistance.
)
Q-bird---- (
An intermittent tone generator; same as "gooney bird".
)
Q code---- (
Internationally recognized set of codes used on HAM and 27MHz SSB radios.
)
Q Signals---- (
Three-letter symbols beginning with Q. Used on CW to save time and to improve communication..
)
QRL?---- (
Ham radio Q signal meaning "Is this frequency in use ?".
)
QRP---- (
Low power (less then 5-W output).
)
QRP Days---- (
Special orbits set aside for very low power uplink operating through the satellites.
)
QSL---- (
Term used on SSB for "Roger"; i.e.- "QSL on that". While the Q signals were originally used on
CW in the Amateur Radio Service, and often are the butt of complaints, they have found their way into CB’s society, and live with them we must.

QSL Card---- (
Personalized postcard sent to confirm a conversation.

QSO---- (
A conversation between two hams.

Quarter-wavelength Vertical Antenna---- (
An antenna constructed of a quarter-wavelength long radiating element placed perpendicular to the earth.

"The copyright issue is a sticky one for Web site owners and their employees, particularly contractors.
Currently in the United States, there are no laws that specifically address copyright issues in the online world.
However, the U.S. courts have ruled that existing copyright laws governing the print world can be applied to the online world."
If by mistake, I've used someone's copyright material, notify me, and I'll remove it.
