)
Mean Anomaly (MA)---- (
An angle that increases informally with time, starting at perigee (point nearest,reached by object orbiting), used to indicate where
a satellite is located along its orbit. MA is usually specified at the reference epoch time where the "Keplerian" elements are defined. For AO-10 the orbital time is
divided into 256 parts, rather than degrees of a circle, and MA (sometime called phase) is specified from 0 to 255. Perigee is therefore at MA = 0 with apogee at MA = 128.
)
Mean Motion---- (
The "Keplerian" element to indicate the complete number of orbits a satellite makes in a day.
)
Mean Power---- (
The average power supplied to an antenna transmission line during an interval of time sufficiently
long compared with the lowest frequency encountered in the modulation taken under normal operating conditions.
)
Maga---- (
The metric prefix for 10*6, or times 1,000,000.

Million hertz.
)
Memory Bank ---- (
A set of memory channels organized into a group.
)
Memory Effect ---- (
Rechargeable batteries such as Ni-cad and Ni-MH types that
may be getting capacity as a result of repeated non-full charge/dis-charge cycles.
)
Metal-Oxide Semiconductor (MOSFET)---- (
A field-effect transistor that forms its electric field through an insulating oxide layer.
)
Metric Prefixes---- (
A series of terms used in the metric system of measurement. We use metric prefixes to describe
a quantity as compared to a basic unit. The metric prefixes indicate multiples of 10.
)
Metric System---- (
A system of measurement developed by scientists and used in most countries of the world. This system uses a
set of prefixes that are multiples of 10 to indicate quantities larger or smaller than the basic unit.
)
MF---- (
Medium Frequency--300-3,000 kHz.
)
mH---- (
Millihenry.

The metric prefix for 10*-6, or divide by 1,000,000.
)
Microphone---- (
A device that converts sound waves into electrical energy.
)
Mids---- (
EU (European) Band.
)
Mike---- (
Microphone.
)
Milli---- (
The metric prefix for 10*-3, or divide by 1000.
)

Minute (time).
)
Mirosat---- (
Collective name given to a series of small amateur
satellites having store-and-forward capability(OSCARs 14-19, for example).
)
MIX---- (
Mixer.
)
mm---- (
millimeter.
)
Mobile---- (
CB radio in car, truck, boat, motorcycle, or bicycle.

"The copyright issue is a sticky one for Web site owners and their employees, particularly contractors.
Currently in the United States, there are no laws that specifically address copyright issues in the online world.
However, the U.S. courts have ruled that existing copyright laws governing the print world can be applied to the online world."
