Rani Umayamma of
Attingal. Became Regent for her son, on the death of Raja
Aditya Varma in 1678. Granted the English the right to
build a trading post at Anchuthengu (Anjengo) in one of
her last acts as regent in 1684. She m. and had
issue, six sons (five of them drowned by the eight Nair
chiefs, at Manakad while bathing):

After the death
of her sons she adopted an entire family from the
Kolathunad Royal House, the Koil Tampurans of Kilimanur.
She d. at the Koyikkal Palace, Trivandrum, 1706,

1678. Reigned under the regency of his mother until he
came of age and was invested with full ruling powers,
1684. He d. at Padmanabhapuram Palace, Thukalai,
1705 (succ. by his adopted brother).

privately. Adopted by the Rani Regent Umayamma of
Attingal, 1705. Succeeded on the death of his adopted
brother, 1704. He d. at Trivandrum, 1718.

son of of Ittammar Raja of Beypore Thattarikovilakam, of
the Kolathundu Royal House, by his wife, a princess of
from the Kolathunad Royal House, educ. privately.
Adopted by the Rani Regent Umayamma of Attingal, 1705.
Succeeded on the death of his elder full brother, 1718.
He d. (poisoned by the eight Nair cheifs) at
Padmanabhapuram Palace, Thukalai, 1721 (succ. by
his full brother).

son of of Ittammar Raja of Beypore Thattarikovilakam, of
the Kolathundu Royal House, by his wife, a princess of
from the Kolathunad Royal House, educ. privately.
Adopted by the Rani Regent Umayamma of Attingal, 1705.
Succeeded on the death of his elder full brother, 1721. m.
Shrimathi Avirama Pilla Kochamma, a Bengali lady. He
d. at Kalkulam from smallpox, 27th January
1729, having had issue, two sons and a daughter:
1) Sri
Padmanabhan Tampi [Pappu Tampi] [Valiya].
Conspired with his brother and the eight Nair
chiefs to oust the Heir Apparent and later
Maharaja Martanda Varma. He was k. by
Maharaja Martanda Varma at the Nagercoil Palace,
28th October 1730.
2) Sri
Raman Tampi [Kunju]. Conspired with his elder
brother and the eight Nair chiefs to oust the
Heir Apparent and later Maharaja Martanda Varma.
He was k. by Maharaja Martanda Varma at
the Nagercoil Palace, 28th October
1730.

Shrimathi Tankamma Pilla Kochamma. She was k.
with her brothers by Maharaja Martanda Varma at
