Shrimant Sardar Pilajirao Gaekwad, Sena Khas Khel
Shamsher Bahadur, of Sonagad, by his morganatic wife,
Shrimant Akhand Soubhagyavati Munnoobai Sahib Gaekwad, educ.
privately. Assumed the leadership of his house on the
death of his father, 14th May 1732. Defeated
the Mogul armies at Baroda in 1734 and established his
capital at that place. Arrogated the attributes of an

niece of Maharana Shri Raisinhji Pratapsinhji Sahib,
Maharana of Rajpipla. He d. at Patan, after the
battle of Panipat, 18th August 1768, having
