1772 - 1793 H.M. Inayat-i-Ilahi Sultan Timur Shah Bahadur, Padshah-i-Ghazi, Dur-i-Durran, Padshah of Afghanistan. b. at Mashhad, Persia, December 1746, educ. privately. Viceroy of the Punjab, Kashmir, Multan and Sind May 1757-10th April 1758 and November 1759-1771, Governor of Herat 1771-1772. Appointed as Heir Apparent by his father, February 1772. Proclaimed at Herat on the death of his father, 16th October 1772. Entered Kandahar and was crowned at the Shrine of Shahrukh. Transferred his capital to Kabul. m. (first) a lady of the Popalzai clan. m. (second) at Delhi, 13th February 1757, Nawab Muhammadi Zuhra Begum Sahiba, née Gauhar un-nisa Afraz Banu Begum Sahiba, elder daughter of H.M. 'Abu'l-'Adil 'Aziz ud-din Muhammad 'Alamgir II Sahib-i-Qiran Padshah Ghazi, Emperor of India. m. (third) at Mashhad, 1770, Shahzadi Gowhar Shad Begum, eldest daughter of H.M. Hast Sultan bar Salatin-i-Jahan Shah-i-Shahhan Shah-i-Jahan Shahrukh Shah, Sahib-i-Qiran, Shahanshah of Persia. m. (fourth) a lady of the Sadozai clan. m. (fifth) a lady of the Yusufzai clan. m. (sixth) a lady of the Popalzai clan. m. (seventh) a lady of the Ishaqzai clan. m. (eighth) a daughter of Haji Jamal Khan Barakzai. m. (ninth) a daughter of Sardar Rahim Dad Khan, Sultan Muhammad Barakzai, the Chief of the Barakzai clan. m. (tenth) a daughter of Sardar Nur Muhammad Khan Babar, Amin ul-Mulk, and Treasurer. He may also have m. 1757, a daughter of 'Izz ud-Daula, Shahzada Muhammad 'Izz ud-din Bahadur, of Delhi. He d. at Kabul, 19th May 1793 (bur. there) (succ. by his son), having had issue, fifty-four sons and several daughter, including:
