1598 - 1627 Amir-i-Afghan Sado Khan [Malik Saddu], Governor of Safa and Chief of the Alus Abdali. b. at Kandahar, 11th October 1558, son of Malik Saleh, by his wife and cousin. Succeeded his father as chief of the tribe, the Alus Habibzai. United the Afghan tribes and took control of Safa and became Chief of the Alus Abdali, 26th July 1598. Assisted Emperor Jahangir in taking Kandahar from the Safavids, and was recognised as Amir-i-Afghan (cdr. of the Afghan forces) in 1622. Governor of Kandahar 1622-1626. He d. 18th March 1627. He had issue, five sons:

1627  Khwaja Khizr Khan, Governor of Safa and Chief of the Alus Abdali. b. 29th September 1582, eldest son of Amir-i-Afghan Malik Saddu, Governor of Safa and Chief of the Alus Abdali. Succeeded his father as Governor of Safa and Chief of the Alus Abdali, 18th March 1627. He d. (or was k. by his younger brother) 13th September 1627), having had issue, two sons (ancestor of the Khizr-khel):
