Hand Tutorial
Making a Super Sculpey hand ... By Chua aka "Jonestation"

h1: Begin with a ball of clay. This is mixture of SS + B/W Premo h2: Flatten the clay ball to form palm, not too flat, maybe 1/5 of original ball height.
h3: Roll the finger in cylinder form. arrange them to see the length. h4: Slice into the segment slightly, not too deep, 1/3 will do.
h5: Add details as necessary, but since this is just early stage, the detail might lost during the other stage. h6: Slice 45 degree at the end of the palm, to allow alignment of the finger.
h7: All I can say is, blend, blend, and blend some more. h8: through hand0014: Repeat the process 3 to 7 for the rest of 3 fingers.
h15: I found the finger is too thin at the joint, so I added a little clay to fill it. h16 through h19: Add thin layer of clay to parts that are too thin or distorted.
h21: Ready for the thumb.
h22: The process is quite similar, blend and add clay. I always refer to my own hand for this.
h30: Add some clay to form the hand bone that run under the skin and fat. h31: Add clay ball to the knuckle joint between palm and finger to emphasise the edge.
h33: Well, the rest is adding detail and refine. Wait! How about the bending finger, you ask?
h34: Arrrrhhh... My finger....(that is for not showing the finger bending process!!) h35: Cut deeper at the segment, depend on how "bent" you want your finger to move. Here I make roughly a 30 to 45 degree split to the segment.
h36: Bend the finger. h37: through h55: any pose is possible for the hand, if it is created in proper length.
h57: Hey you aren't wearing boxing gloves... "Yeah right, tell that to the referee!!!.. Eat this!"
h63: Experiment with texture using alcohol (finally found 91%) and brush.

I hope this helps. The whole process took about 1 hour, this is only the 5th time I have tried sculpting hands, the first time took around 3 hours.
Any comments, critiques or improvement methods are most welcome.
