Dan Gallagher appears to have opened up a serious conflict of interest (for himself), as it relates to the lawsuit filed by Mayor Lorenzo Langford.

First, Gallagher represents the City Council on one hand, and, now he wants to be a plaintiff/intervenor. Hence, it creates a dual interest scenario.

On page 9 of his filing, Gallagher even raises this issue of divided loyalties.

The reality here is that Gallagher is not the issue here ... the invalid position of Solicitor to City Council is the only issue.

This confirms the point that Mayor Langford is simply moving to eliminate an "invalid" position ... not target Gallagher in any way.

Interesting to note, that Councilman Tim Mancuso publicly stated that "The Mayor is our target."

We will watch, with interest, to see if Judge Val Armstrong gives Gallagher the intervenor status that he has requested in this matter.

At the rate that things are going ... he probably will ... although the law would indicate otherwise.
