HarryHurley.com has learned and confirmed that outgoing City Council political renegade, Craig "Messenger Ballot" Callaway has introduced yet another preposterous Ordinance ... this one designed to politically attack Robert Flipping, the City's Director of Public Safety.
As is usually the case with Callaway ... this is ill-advised and opens the City of Atlantic City and the already abused tax payers to yet another potentially expensive lawsuit.
Flipping currently earns his Police Captain's salary ... as Mayor Langford was able to fill a vital function of City government, without increasing the public payroll.
Instead of appreciating this, the narrow-minded Callaway continues to search for ways to retaliate against the Langford Administration. Callaway's latest scheme is to set the salary of Director of Public Safety at $ 1.00 per-year.
We believe that the good news in all of this is that our legal/judicial system appears poised and ready to remedy the egregious political conduct of Craig Callaway.
Callaway plans to introduce his latest goofy Ordinance at the regular Council meeting of November 12, 2003.
