I have had no success reaching Michael Garvin today. I have also learned that I am not alone here.
When I first called, I was told he was in ... then after 3 transfers, I was told he was not in ... but that he would be in later in the morning. Now, the Atlantic County Clerk's Office says Garvin will not be in at all today.
Something rotten is going on around here.
But, it gets better ... Craig Callaway had no problem meeting with Garvin this morning. Callaway was seen filling out papers at Garvin's Atlantic City Office this morning.
The fact that so many allegedly respectable people are racing to certify Callaway the winner ... despite the fact that he called a "secret" meeting for the desired result of selecting himself to be this Tuesday's Democrat Nominee is breathtaking to us.
Also very important to note ... Callaway won the Column A endorsement by a vote of all Atlantic City Committee Members ... Not just the 3rd Ward.
Now, Callaway is going to argue that only 3rd Ward Committee Members should decide for the whole City who their next Council Member should be. This is intellectually, legally dishonest and must be stopped.
I have absolute;ly no faith in Judge Baker whatsoever ... And, here's today's prediction of him in advance ... He will refer the matter back to Chiarello, to hold a legal meeting ... vbut, Baker will limit this meeting to only 3rd Ward Committee Members ... because this politically bankrupt system knows well that Callaway controls a minimum 6 of the 8 votes.
Once again, Baker will fake like he's doing the right thing ... yet, again ... as has been the case with every decision that Baker has made ... It always turns up "roses" for Callaway.
You can believe this is just an accident ... I do not.
Also, revealing ... is the fact that so many people are unavailable today to be reached. They are in hiding and conspiring to save this election for Callaway.
The question at some point must be raised ... Why is it so important that Callaway retain this seat?
Our system is doing backflips to hand Callaway the seat ... even though Baker (himself) has confirmed that his campaign committed massive fraud.
As for the County Counsel, Jim Ferguson. His political ruling is a disgrace and it turns the rule of law on its ear. Ferguson will not return repeated phone calls ... and refuses to acknowledge that Title 19 clearly states that the Party Chairman (Chuck Chiarello) must call a meeting of the Committee ... and not a clandestined meeting by Callaway. Ferguson raced to side with Callaway and favors his "select" meeting that allegedly took place several days ago ... rather than a duly advertised and legal meeting called for by Chiarello.
The facts and politics of this matter speak for themselves. When it is all over, there are a few people who will have lost much of the respect that I use to have for them.
We'll file more later today after the court hearing.
