Is John Kerry Poaching For Votes?

Now, I am not a hunter, nor an advocate for hunters, but there is an old term for people who hunt animals in places where they are not supposed to be. They call them "poachers".

John Kerry had his true Michael Dukakis moment today in a field near a stream in the great state of Ohio. Many people thought this moment may have occurred previously, when Kerry was captured in the grape colored suit, pretending to be an astronaut at NASA.

In actuality, it was truly evidenced this morning in the early morning dawn of the Buckeye State. It was here that John Kerry donned his favorite Elmer Fudd hunting suit and proceeded to take Ohio by storm and reportedly bagged himself a full-bird goose. Why not a duck? We don't know.

There are no images of Kerry actually firing his trusty 12-guage shotgun at this dangerous animal, as this was thought to be perhaps a little too macho. The object here was to show the "real-guy Kerry", the one I suppose we have all not had the chance to see yet in his two-year Manchurian campaign for Presidency.

I have many friends who are hunters, and to be honest I have never understood the whole thing. I know those that do it, seem to have a passion for it, and most I know actually eat what they have killed. I have been told that it is this concept which logically justifies the whole idea of the hunt. Does anyone think that John Kerry consumed the full-bird goose that he reportedly bagged this morning?

It is interesting to note that the National Rifle Association has investigated the "hunting" practices of John Kerry. There are only two instances where John Kerry has ever been on the record hunting in his entire life. Once was when he was getting his clock cleaned by Howard Dean in the Democratic Primary during the winter of 2004 in Iowa. The second recorded event came this morning in the mist of a cool October morning, following a late night Kerry spent watching his "Beloved Boston Red Sox", (more on this later).

The thing I find most noteworthy about this whole situation is, people do not require photo opportunities to confirm things that they normally and regularly do. Did Ronald Reagan require a photo op of him chopping wood on his ranch or working on horses to establish an image for himself? The answer is simply "no", because this is who he really was.

President George W. Bush is well-defined by the American people because what you see is what you get. A plain speaking, strong leader, who has faith in his God and a trust and love for the American people to know that their best days are always ahead. He does not have the need to resort to playing before the cameras to create or even attempt to reinforce a false impression of who he really is.

On the other hand, John Kerry in just the past year, has used Skiing, Windsurfing, Sailing, Bicycling, and now we find his true passion Goose-Hunting, all to create some kind of "real man" image. I would submit that if you have not been perceived as a "real man" by this time in a campaign, the Elmer Fudd hat just won't get it!

Now, please keep in mind, Kerry appears to have been fully licensed for his kill today. But, the poaching I am speaking about is his attempt to poach for votes, which by any real sportsmen's standards should be considered illegal.  Is there nothing that John Kerry can't do?
