JUDGE MAX BAKER
OVERTURNS
THE PLEASANTVILLE
PRIMARY ELECTION VICTORY OF
MAURICE "PETE" CALLAWAY
Councilman Kenneth Prescott will retain his Council seat by virtue of this dramatic decision ... Judge Baker agreed that defense attorney Joe Gindhart and his handwriting expert had proven their case that 48 ballots were fraudulant ... they achieved the same "clear and convincing" standard which Judge Baker used in the Stephenine Dixon vs. Craig Callaway case ... Callaway's attorney has withdrawn objection ... Prescott has been declared the winner of this past June's Democrat Primary Election ... which in Pleasantville basically constitutes a General Election result.
Maurice "Pete" Callaway is the older Brother of Atlantic City Councilman Craig Callaway. Maurice Callaway, powered by a record number of messenger absentee ballots, had initially won the Primary over Prescott by 45 votes. However, Judge Baker's decision has now reversed that ... with Councilman Prescott being declared the official winner. No challenge to this result is anticipated.
